2009 Annual Conference
Pitlochry, Scotland
Hosted by the Scottish Raptor Study Group
29 September – 4 October 2009

Our 2009 annual conference will be held overseas for the first time in RRF’s history. Tickets are still available for this six-day international raptor conference, hosted by the Scottish Raptor Study Group (SRSG). Based at the Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry, the conference will be opened by Prof Ian Newton and the programme will include six special symposia themes (Conservation Management, Persecution, Reintroductions, Migration, Scotland, and Haliaeetus), as well as general oral and poster sessions on all aspects of raptor biology, ecology and conservation. In addition to the presentations, there are several special social events, 11 fieldtrip options led by experts from the SRSG, and vendors including booksellers, artists, photographers and conservation organisations. Delegates have registered from 29 different countries so far, including USA, Canada, Australia, Spain, Norway, France, Israel, Northern Ireland, Japan, Philippines, Estonia, Cyprus, Russia, Portugal, China, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Rep of Ireland, Kenya, Belgium, Austria, South Africa, England, Nepal, Sweden, Italy, India and Scotland.
Registration is open to anyone with an interest in raptor ecology and conservation, although priority will be given to RRF and SRSG members. Tickets cost £125 and include access to all conference areas for the six days, a conference programme book, various souvenirs, free tea and coffee and a buffet lunch each day.
If you would like an opportunity to meet with fellow raptor enthusiasts from around the world and to listen to talks on ground-breaking raptor studies at home and abroad, then this is the conference for you!
