The 2019 Raptor Research Foundation Conference is being hosted at the Fort Collins Hilton, a full service hotel and conference center. The Fort Collins Hilton is centrally located in midtown Fort Collins and adjacent to Colorado State University.

The hotel has a swimming pool, fitness room, beauty salon, Spring Creek Bar & Grill (open 6 AM to 10 PM), Spring Creek Café serving Starbucks (open 6 AM to 6 PM), business center, and a tech lounge with multiple ports for your digital accessories . This hotel is 100 % non-smoking and is pet-friendly. All guest rooms include LCD TV’s, a hairdryer, coffeemaker, alarm clock, iron/ironing board, and WiFi. Additionally, the hotel is fully accessible to the disabled. Those requiring assistance in this area should make requests at the time of registration.
The RRF Conference has a room block set up at the Fort Collins Hilton from 11/4/19 through 11/9/19*. Rooms are available for $129 per night (Single/Double). A few Executive Level rooms are also available for $155 per night. Above pricing does not include applicable taxes or parking fees. Parking is $8.00 per day. Check in time is 3:00 PM and check out time is noon. Guest are required to provide credit card information to secure a reservation.
*There are a limited number of rooms blocked off for November 4th intended for those attending the Board of Directors meeting.

Other Lodging Options
Registrants who qualify as Early Career Raptor Researchers (ECRRs), students or those who have graduated in the last three years, are eligible for lodging at the Fernweh Inn and Hostel. The Fernweh is located in downtown Fort Collins at 616 W. Mulberry Street. It’s a one-mile walk from the Fernweh through the Colorado State University campus to the Hilton hotel. The total cost for five nights, November 5-9 (check out morning of the 10th), is $83. Space is limited, so don’t wait to reserve your place at the Fernweh!

Traveling to Fort Collins
Denver International Airport (DIA) is located 60 miles south of Fort Collins at 8500 Pena Blvd, Denver, Colorado, 80249 (https://www.flydenver.com/).
DIA is located about 30 minutes northeast of the center of Denver. Denver, known as the “The Mile-High City”, rises to more than five thousand feet above sea level. DIA offers more than 140 shops, restaurants and services. The airport offers a mix of local flavors that give you a true taste of “The Mile High City”, as well as the national brands that you love. While there, explore our many options for dining, shopping or relaxing.
While DIA is the largest, full service airport serviced by all airlines, one smaller option for flight travel does exist. The Cheyenne Regional Airport at 4020 Airport Pkwy W, Cheyenne, WY 82001 is 45 minutes north of Fort Collins. The only carrier they service is American Airlines with limited flights. There is 1 rental car agency within proximity of the airport. There is no airport shuttle between Cheyenne and Fort Collins.
Transportation from DIA to Fort Collins
Fort Collins is 1 hour north of DIA via Interstate-25. You have a choice of car rental or airport shuttle to get to Fort Collins. All conference activities are held within the Fort Collins Hilton or local transportation options are available for any off site activities. Therefore you shouldn’t feel obligated to rent a car. You can book a airport shuttle to get from DIA to the Fort Collins Hilton using Groome Transportation.
Car Rentals – DIA has more than 10 major rental car companies serving Colorado travelers. Car rental agencies are located on airport property and provide courtesy shuttle service to and from Jeppesen (main) Terminal. Shuttle – DIA to Fort Collins (~1 hour ride). Shuttles depart every hour from 4:30 AM to 1:00 AM. To ensure availability, Groome Transportation recommends at least 24 hours’ notice when making a reservation. They will do their best to accommodate same day reservations, but service cannot be guaranteed. Make your reservations online https://groometransportation.com/denver-airport/or by calling 970-226-5533 to avoid potential delays. The cost is $30 – $55/person one-way. Senior discounts are available for anyone 65 or older. All major credit cards are accepted. The Shuttle Pickup Location at DIA is on the east side of the main terminal (go out DOOR 505, take the crosswalk to ISLAND 5, go RIGHT until you get to the SPECIAL PERMIT sign). The shuttle can dropoff at the Fort Collins Hilton, Fernweh Hostel, or other hotels in the city.
Transportation around Fort Collins
Maxline MAX Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)- Maxline MAX Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) serves major activity and employment centers throughout our community including Midtown, Colorado State University and historic Old Town Fort Collins. MAX links with other Transfort bus routes, Park-n-Rides, the City’s bicycle/pedestrian trail system, and other local and regional transit routes to provide seamless service for passengers.
MAX follows a dedicated transit-only guideway (its own road) and mixed-traffic streets that run parallel to the BNSF Railway between the South Transit Center (south of Harmony Road) and downtown. It is served by 12 stations and stops.
A Maxline bus stop is conveniently located just one block away from the Fort Collins Hilton ($1.25 per ride; day passes for $3.00 available). Cash & credit cards are accepted in a fare kiosk. The bus runs from 5:35 AM to 11:35 PM about every 10 minutes.

Walking- In addition to the Starbucks and restaurant inside the Hilton, additional food and beverage options are within walking distance. Within two blocks of the Fort Collins Hilton you have many food choices from classic American to Indian as well as a small convenience market (Lake Street Market). Food and beverage choices within walking distances are: BlackBottle Brewery, Panino’s Italian Restaurant, Suh Sushi, Mountain Iris Café, Taquieria los Comales, Music City Hot Chicken, Bawarchi Biryanis, Subway, & Taco Bell.
If you’d like a nature break, the Spring Creek Trail runs right by the Hilton. Adjacent to the Spring Creek Trail is The Gardens on Spring Creek. This is the City of Fort Collins community botanic gardens.
Pace Bike Share –Rental Bicycles- Fort Collins is a bike friendly town. Spring Creek bike trail runs adjacent to the Fort Collins Hilton and with the easy grid layout of Fort Collins, biking is a breeze. The Fort Collins Hilton hosts a Pace Bike Share station in the parking lot. This provides the opportunity to rent a bike for any amount of time. Each bike is equipped with 8 speeds, GPS tracking, a lock, a basket, and lights. Bike rental Does NOT include a helmet.
